Reviews: That’s Life

• Tricia Kendrick • What a wonderful collection of stories. What an interesting life this woman has had. I laughed out loud and cried real tears as I felt my heart being tugged at. I realized that any person’s life’s stories are a history book, a reflection of the times in which s/he lived. The author declares that she has lived in the Golden Age—the most amazing period in history. It certainly was.  Besides the events she describes, she reveals, for example, how she went through the Women’s Movement, from a compliant, submissive “housewife,” to a strong, independent, career woman. It’s almost 400 pages; I wished it were longer.

•  Oscar Villareal • An anthology to be savored. I recommend it.

• Quinn B. • The author does a beautiful job of sharing the life experiences that helped her become the woman she is today.  Carol shares not only interesting snippets of her life, but also how through the years she gained the confidence to find her happiness.

• Zora Thomsen • Carol’s book of many mini-memoirs inspired me to write my own. As I read it I kept being reminded of events or emotions from my own life. It made writing my own book a much richer experience. I can’t thank her enough.

• Suzanna Bishop • This book of a woman’s life is a tapestry of insights and epiphanies. She has packed so much living into one life, it’s amazing to read. She’s an inspiration to so many.
